Well, they're not pickles yet, but they will be. My sister gave me some real nice cucumbers from her garden and I got a great recipe from Brendan for homemade pickles. It's pretty straightforward: slice, mix, wait. Above are some of the ingredients used. As you can see they might be a little spicy. I'll post the finished results in a few weeks.

Homemade Pickles

Well even though they weren't pickled for as long as you wanted, the sampling we tried Sunday night were amazing. I've always been a baby gherkin fan, but you've helped me step out of my comfort zone where pickles are concerned. The jalapeno was an easy bite and didn't overshadow the braised short ribs entree you served. can't wait to try the next batch. Paula. Thx.
