Braised, Grilled and Glazed Beef Short Ribs
It's no coincidence that it's Friday and I'm posting some food porn. Over the past month I have talked to a lot of people that have said they really miss Friday Night Food Porn. So, I thought I should post one. I'm not saying that I'm bringing it back, but I figured now would be a good time to start posting some food pics again.
I marinated these beef short ribs in soy, garlic, ginger, crushed red pepper, and lemongrass for 5 hours. I seasoned them with salt, pepper, and granulated garlic, then seared them over a hot charcoal fire. I placed them in my cast iron Dutch oven and added some braising liquid. Then I braised them for about 3 hours over a low charcoal fire. When done, I rested the ribs, and reduced down the braising liquid by half. I got a hot grill going and then seared and glazed them with the reduced liquid.
